CHESTER: Mr. Clarence Edward Paul, 80, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC.The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Ogburn and Rev. Joey Shetley officiating.The interment will be in Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Saturday, January 2, 2016at Barron Funeral Home. Born April 20, 1935 in Chester, SC, Mr. Paul was the son of the late John Turner Paul and Mattie Thomas Paul.He attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries.He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, was a member of the Brotherhood and was a former choir member.Mr. Paul was also a former member of the South Carolina Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife of over sixty-one years, Essie Dove Paul; two daughters, Donna P. Church and Lisa Paul Hall and her husband Robert both of Chester; three grandchildren, Bear Church, Colby Hall and Caleb Hall all of Chester; one great-grandson, Mason Church of Chester and one sister, Edna Broome of Matthews, NC.
