Richburg: Christopher ?Chris? Keith Melzer, 31, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Barron Funeral Home. Chris was born in Norristown, PA on April 12, 1980 a son of Thomas D. Melzer and Anne Downs Melzer.He was a graduate of Chester High School and attended York Technical College and was employed with Man-Dan Inc. as an in house Technician. Chris was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, Kelly-Marie Stephenson Melzer; one daughter, Jillian Reid Melzer of Richburg, SC; father, Tom D. Melzer of Rock Hill, SC; mother, Anne D. Melzer of Chester, SC; one brother Jeff Melzer of Myrtle Beach, SC; one sister, Sarah Melzer Gibson and her husband Mark of Charlotte, NC and paternal grandmother, Mary Melzer of Rock Hill, SC.
