It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Thomas Kelly, 54, of Chester, SC, who departed from this world on Monday, June 26, 2023. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, July 1, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM at Barron Funeral Home, followed by a procession to Chester Memorial Gardens, 945 W End Road, Chester, SC for interment. Born in Chester, SC, he was the son of Richard and Lynda Kelly. Chris was a proud and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor, and friend. He held his family close to his heart and was a constant source of love and support. He worked in the Insurance industry for 20+ years, most recently working with State Farm, where he excelled in his career and left behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. He found joy being out on the lake boating and fishing, spending time with his family and dogs, and going on adventures with his wife, Lisa. His sense of humor, contagious laughter, warm smile, and compassionate nature left an indelible impression on everyone he encountered. Chris is survived by his wife, Lisa Kelly; his parents, Richard and Lynda Kelly; his children Hayley Kelly (Steven Bledsoe) and Justin Kelly (Valerie Kelly); his step-children Tristan Whitaker, Kristin Olcott (Dean Olcott), and Valorie Shrader; his siblings Rick Kelly (Brenda Kelly) and Sherry Burdick; his grandchildren Myles Bledsoe, Abel and Aubrey Kelly, and Atlas and Bennett Olcott; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
