Christine Dalton Lemons

Mrs. Christine Dalton Lemons, 84, of 1215 Radcliff Road died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at her residence. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the Fountain of Life Church of God with Reverend Fred Bryant and Reverend Dennis Willoughby officiating.Interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born November 25, 1924, Mrs. Lemons was the daughter of the late Pierce Dalton and Sallie Pack Dalton.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries.She was a charter member of Fountain of Life Church of God and the widow of Sam Lemons. Surviving are two daughters, Norma Bagley and her husband Heyward of Chester and Diane Pelkey and her husband James of Lancaster, SC; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandson; one son-in-law, Billy Hunter of Lancaster, SC; four sisters, Margaret Hope, Viola Armstrong and Myrtle Womack all of Chester, SC and Betty Jean Bishop of Columbia, SC.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Hunter and three brothers, Richard and Robert Dalton and Kenneth Jones and one sister, Dorothy Gregory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 P.M. Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester.
