Lexington, SC Mrs. Charlotte Daggett Plowden Wylie, 91, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington, SC.Mrs. Wylie was a resident of the Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina in Lexington, SC. The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Purity Presbyterian Church with Rev. Trey Hegar officiating.The interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Born September 22, 1923 in Georgetown, SC, Mrs. Wylie was the daughter of the late Edwin Ruthven Plowden and Edna Tillman Daggett Plowden. She was a graduate of Winyah High School and Winthrop College Class of 1945 with a degree in Library Science.She was retired from Chester County Schools as Librarian at Chester Junior High and also taught in Winnsboro, SC and Mullins, SC.She was a member of Purity Presbyterian Church where she tended the Library and was a member of Women of the Church.She was also a member of the Variety Study Club and Daughters of the American Revolution Mary Adair Chapter. She is survived by her husband of over sixty-five years D.C. “Pete” Wylie, Jr., three sons, David C. Wylie, III (Leslie) of Columbia, SC, Edwin P. Wylie (Lou) of Fort Mill, SC and Robert K. Wylie (Cheryl) of Chester, SC; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Harriet Plowden of Lexington, SC.She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Ruthven Plowden.
