McConnells, SC: Rev. Charles Allen Ramsey, 58, died Friday, November 14, 2014 at his residence.The funeral will be 3:00 PM Monday, November 17, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Ballard officiating.The interment will be private.The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Monday at Barron Funeral Home. Born February 26, 1956 in Transylvania County, NC, Rev. Ramsey is the son of Barbara Chapell Ramsey and the late William Thomas Ramsey.He attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from SCDOT with the road maintenance department.He was a member of Harvest Time Ministries. He is survived by his wife of over twenty-eight years, Mary Ann Parker Ramsey; four daughters, Carolyn Buford of Rock Hill, SC, Ann Pittman (Wes) of Chester, SC, Mary Jo Brazell (Donnie) of York, SC and Crystal Faile of McConnells, SC; one son, Allen Ramsey of McConnells; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; mother, Barbara Chappell Ramsey of Hickory Grove, SC; one brother, Melvin Ramsey of Hickory Grove, SC, three sisters, Jeanette Patrick of Blair, SC, Joyce Cook of McConnells and Vonda Dotson of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a son Steve Allen Ramsey, Sr. Memorials may be made to Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery, PO Box 159, McConnells, SC 29726.
