Charles Lee Lunsford

Chester, SC: Charles Lee Lunsford, 87, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at his home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 14, 2017 at Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM. Mr. Lunsford was born in Lockhart, SC on March 19, 1930 and was a son of the late Hayden Roy Lunsford, Sr. and Esther Roberts Lunsford and the widower of Nancy Ann (Hudson) Lunsford to whom he was married for over 56 years . He was a high school graduate and a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Mr. Lunsford was also retired from B & H Foods as plant manager. He was a member of Armenia United Methodist Church and a member of Sandy River Masonic Lodge # 207.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hayden Roy, Jr. and Ralph E. Lunsford and a sister, Frances Ellen Lunsford. Mr. Lunsford is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Stevenson (Jerry) of Chester, SC and Patricia Elaine Lail (Robert) of Conover, NC; sister-in-law, Shirley Hudson Egan (Ted) of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
