CHESTER: Mr. Charles Wesley “Tootie” Kilpatrick, 77, died Friday, December 27, 2013 at Providence Hospital in Columbia, SC. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 30th at First Baptist Church Chester with Rev. Clay Waldrip. The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Barron Funeral Home. Born June 28, 1936 in Inman, SC, Mr. Kilpatrick was a son of the late James Ernest and Kathleen Sosebee Kilpatrick. He was a graduate of Chester High School and owner/operator of Textile Unit Printers.He was a member of First Baptist Church Chester and the Brockman Plyer Sunday School Class.He was past president of the Civitans and the Jaycees and also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Mildred Wingate Kilpatrick; two sons, Charles W. “Chuck” Kilpatrick of Chester and Matthew Kilpatrick of Irmo, SC; two grandchildren, Alex Kilpatrick of Charleston, SC and Noah Kilpatrick of Irmo, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by one brother, Herman Kilpatrick and two sisters, Nancy Penland and Bina Levister.
