Charles Kevin Gwin

Charles Kevin Gwin, 69, died, Thursday, March 7, 2026 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Catholic -Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wayne Pruitt officiating.

 He was born August 1, 1956 in Chester, SC and was the son of the late Charles Floyd Gwin and Barbara Jean Mahaffey. He was a 1974 graduate of Chester High School and a graduate of Beavercreek Bible Institute. Kevin worked for over 25 years with Chester Telephone Company as a lineman and Supervisor and started Gwin Tree Service. From 2000-2007 he was a handyman and could fix anything. In 2008 he went back to college and learned many new ways to use his skills.

 He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Jada Carter Gwin; his children, Charles K. Gwin, Jr. of Chester, SC, Casey E. Gwin of Blackstock, SC, Kevin T. Gwin of Blackstock, SC and Joshua "Gage" Gwin of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren, Callie, Claire, Macie, Levi and Melody; one great granddaughter, Athena; one sister, Sarah Lea McLean of Blackstock, SC; his niece Samantha and his nephew Cory and numerous others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Beth Gwin Gunter.

In lieu of flowers, at the request of Kevin memorials are to be discussed with Jada and Casey Gwin.
