Charles Buddy Ford

Chester, SC: Charles Davis “Buddy” Ford, 75, died Saturday, August 10, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Orr’s Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Runion officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM at the church. Interment will be private. Mr. Ford was born in C hester, SC on November 26, 1936. He was a son of the late John Asbury Ford and Lucinda Chambers Ford. He was a graduate of Chester High School class of 1955 and was a member of Orr’s Baptist Church where he was former Music Director and served on several committees. He was retired form Kanawha Insurance. Mr. Ford is survived by his wife of over forty-eight years, Rebecca Faulkenberry Ford; two sons, Charles T. “Chuck” (Heather) Ford and David M. Ford(Whitney); three grandchildren, John Davis Ford, Julia Cassidy Ford and Zoe Raylee Love Ford all of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: his twin brother Sonny Ford and Jack and William Ford and his sister, Jane Janyssek.
