Mr. Charles Edgar “Chuck” Young, 58, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Grand Stand Regional Medical Center.A memorial service will be held at 11 00 AM on Monday, June 18, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Chester with Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends after the service in the vestibule area at First Baptist Church, 102 Church St., Chester, SC. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Tensye Lee Needham Smith and Walter “Jacque” Smith of Columbia; two sons, Tyler Young of Rock Hill and Beau Young of Seattle, Washington; one sister, Bonnie Young O’Connor and husband Joe of Columbia; one brother, Clay Young and wife Susie of Dillon; two nephews, Josh Funderburk and Bridges Young.He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Wallace Young.Chuck was grateful to his devoted friend, June Craig Oliver for her care during his illness; and, more importantly, most grateful to his Lord, Jesus Christ, for his life eternal - “Truly, truly I say unto you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Chester PO Box 518, Chester, SC 29706 Online condolences may be made to the family at www.barronfuneralhome.com.
