Great Falls: Catherine Lindsay Turner, 70, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Springs Memorial Hospital, Lancaster, SC. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Orr’s Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Runion and Pastor George Lindsay officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the home of George Lindsay, 920 Mt. Lake Road, Chester, SC. Interment will be private. Mrs. Turner was born in Chester, SC on November 8, 1946 and was a daughter of the late George Hennis Lindsay and Daisy Odette (Darby) Lindsay. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from Chester Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Turner was a member of Orr’s Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Lindsay Turner of Great Falls, SC and a son,Henry Lindsay of Murphy, NC; a granddaughter, Kameron Cooper and two grandsons, John Noah Cooper and Michael Brooks Cooper all of Great Falls, SC; two brothers, Sonny Lindsay (Sandy) of Charlotte, NC and George Lindsay (Sue) of Chester, SC and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, James Michael Lindsay. Memorial may be made to Orr’s Baptist Church, 1266 Lancaster Highway, Chester, SC 29706.
