Blackstock Mrs. Carrie Ella Curry Boyd, 104, died Sunday, October 23, 2016, at her home.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church with Rev. Matt Horne and Mr. Tim Foster officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the interment. Mrs. Boyd was born June 14, 1912 in Cornwell, SC and was a daughter of the late John Boyd Curry and Mary Elizabeth Peay Curry. She is survived by two grandchildren, Deborah Benton and Marjorie Benton Phillips both of Columbia, SC; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her husband, William Banks Boyd; a nephew, Robert O’Neal Benton; a brother, George Wylie Curry; and a sister, Elizabeth Curry Bennett.
