Carolyn Mccollum Starnes

Chester Mrs. Carolyn McCollum Starnes, 81, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Chester County Nursing Center. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday July 5, 2021 at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jon Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at her graveside and other times at the home of Tracy and Pam Starnes. Mrs. Starnes was born November 27, 1939 and was a daughter of the late Dewey William McCollum and Bessie Lee Melton McCollum. She attended the schools of Union, SC and formerly worked with Springs Industries. Mrs. Starnes was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by one son, Tracy Starnes (Pam) of Blackstock, SC; one daughter, Patricia McCarley (Steve) of Chester, SC; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye Bridges of Rock Hill, SC;Mrs. Starnes was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Ambrose Starnes and her sister, Helen McCollum Blalock.
