Carol Lovern Beam Roddey

December 19, 1941 — February 2, 2021

Mrs. Carol Lovern Beam Roddey went home to be with the Lord on the evening of February 2, 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, her funeral service will be private officiated by Reverend David Sealy and Reverend Thomas Stroud. Born December 19, 1941, Carol was the widow of the late William Wylie Roddey, Sr. She was a strong, independent woman with a big heart and a generous nature. She loved her Bible and her church. She lived her life generously and loved unconditionally. Carol loved Winnie the Pooh, lighthouses, animals, and music, but she loved her family most of all. Her favorite pastime was spoiling her grandchildren rotten. Carol is survived by the family she so dearly loved: three children; Bill (Susan), Willie, and Wylene Roddey, three granddaughters; Raven, Alice, and Lily Roddey, one grand-dog, WaYa, one brother, Roger (Deborah) Beam, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she adored. She also loved her extended family of three step-daughters; Wylie Ann (David) Sealy, Carol (Arthur) Varnadore, and Peggy (Rick) Walker, and their children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
