CHESTER Mr. Carlton Murray “Pete” Stepp, 68, died September 8, 2014 at his home.The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Armenia United Methodist Church with Rev. Eric Shepard officiating.The interment will at Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery in Union, SC.The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Armenia United Methodist Church. Born February 18, 1946 in Union County, SC.He was a son of the late John Stepp and Bertha Ammons Stepp.He attended the schools of Union County and was owner and operator of Stepp’s Garage and Towing.He was a member of Armenia United Methodist Church and the Corvette Club. He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Sara Ann Tracey Stepp; three daughters, Tammy Elliott (Richard) of Easley, SC and Susan Stepp and Tiffany Boyd both of Chester, SC; one son, Joseph Stepp (Melissa) of Chester; seven grandchildren, Stefanie Blanton, Paul Teague, Kyra Stepp, Paul Larussa, Chris Elliott, Candice Elliott and Josh Elliott; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Glenn “J.G.” Gibson of Union, SC and Russell Gibson of Lockhart, SC and one sister, Betty Blackwood of Spartanburg, SC.
