Blackstock Carla Renee Leonard Peay, 61, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Tim Boan officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Barron Funeral Home. Mrs. Peay was born November 3, 1961 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late James Harold Leonard and Barbara Wright Leonard. She was a graduate of Chester High School, York Tech, and Presbyterian College. She also attended Queens College in Charlotte, NC. Carla was retired from private healthcare as a registered nurse. She loved fishing and was also an animal lover and enjoyed any kind of health care TV shows and soap operas. She loved spending time with her grandson and her family, which were her heart. She is survived by her daughter, Alana Robinson (Kyle) of Clover, SC; one grandson, Avery Robinson of Clover, SC; one brother, Alvin “Samp” Diggs (Paula) of Blackstock, SC; sister-in-law, Angie Leonard of Blackstock, SC; nephews, Ryan Leonard, Jonas Diggs, Sammy Diggs and Buddy Leonard; niece, Gina Diggs; numerous great nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Remattie Peay of Chester, SC and the Peay family and alsoTyrone Sanders and the Sanders family.
