CHESTER Mr. Carl Alexander McWaters, 81, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his residence.The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Stan DeGraw, Rev. Melvin Pressley and Rev. Neil Keisler.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Born October 17, 1932 in Chester, SC, Mr. McWaters was the son of the late Charlie Taylor McWaters and Effie Crawford McWaters and the widower of Vivian Fay Mosley McWaters.He attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Spring Industries as a loom fixer.He was veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Bride of Christ Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived byfour sons, Carl Alvin McWaters (Deborah) of Eure, NC, Randy Willard McWaters (Eunice) of Chester, Douglas Marvin McWaters (Pat) of Blackstock, SC, Timothy Paul McWaters (Emily) of S. Congaree, SC; one daughter, Debra Alley (Billy) of Chester; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren anda man’s best friend George. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael McWaters, a daughter, Lorraine McWaters and two great grandsons, Maslin Smith and Aiden Hawkins.
