CHESTERMr. Bobby Brantley Melton, 79, died November 19, 2011 in Lexington, SC.A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 30, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Allen Derrick officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at Barron Funeral Home prior to the service. Born August 7, 1932 in Great Falls, SC, Mr. Melton, was a son of the late Hillery Mayberry Melton and Bessie Drawdy Melton. Mr Melton was a 1950 graduate of Chester High School.He was currently employed with Kimball Mid-West Industrial Hardware.He was a former Boy Scout Master, an avid fisherman and a classic car enthusiast who enjoyed doing his own restoration.He was a great family man and loved the outdoors.He is survived by his wife Susan Miller Melton; three daughters, Debbie M. Henson and her husband Rick of Richburg, Denise M. Thompson and her husband Mark of Rock Hill and Jodie M. Salley and her husband Maynard of Lexington, SC; one step-son, Russell Shannon of Drumore, PA; four grandchildren, Brandee Barnes and her husband Jamie, Jordan Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Logan Salley; two great grandchildren, Chase Barnes and Jayden Barnes; one sister, Peggy M.
