Betty Jean Roof McGinnis, 75, beloved widow of George Franklin "Cowboy" McGinnis, passed at home, on Saturday, June 13, 2015.She was amongst many friends and family in Greenbrier, TN; where she lived with her daughter and son, Crystal and Tony Birdwell.Service to be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Barron's Funeral Home with Biker Chaplain Ray “Doc” Elders officiating.The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday at Barron’s Funeral Home.Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Born on October 31, 1939 in Chester, SC, to the late William and Ada Roof, she resided in Chester, SC, on Craigbrow Circle for over 40 years before moving to TN.She was the Honorary "Skully Momma" to the Skully Girl's Biker Sisterhood in Old Hickory, TN. Survived by three daughters, Crystal McGinnis Birdwell, Debbie Doster Lindler, and Georgette McGinnis Hullander; a son-in-law, David Anthony Birdwell; whom she loved as a son; granddaughters, Dallas Danyelle Miller, Elizabeth Bradley, Dawn Gregoire, Tessa Birdwell, Lois Slaughter, Ashley Lyles; grandsons, George Dillon Miller, Steven Birdwell, Paul Gregoire, and the late Colin Franklin Gregoire; great grandchildren, Harleigh Faith, Bryson, Ashton, Kaiden, Wesley, Rachell, Trevor, Courtney, and Colin; sister-in-law, Sharon Roof; sister, Beatrice Gaston; brothers, Ervin Roof, and the late Dewey and James Roof; nieces, Cindy Gaston Williamson, Bonnie Birch, Donnie Mobley, Kathy Roof Rhodes, Pam Roof Fairfax, Renee James, and Lynn Pennington; nephews, Kenneth, Mark, Billy, Keith, and Tony Roof; and by her loving canine companions, Zoey and Sheeba.
