Mrs. Betty Jo Elwell Holt, 76, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at her home.A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim McClure officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home. Born May 7, 1936 in Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Holt was the daughter of Ada Harbin Turner and the late Robert Elwell.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Brunson’sand also worked with the Chester County Schools and volunteered with Chester County Hospital. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of over fifty-four years Ervin Holt; nieces, Heidi Lyles and her husband Mickey and Vickie Oates and her husband Bill all of Chester; one grandson, Will Holt, III of Chester and two great nephews, Brenton Lyles of Spartanburg, SC and Bradley Oates of Blythewood, SC and one brother, Dick Harbin and his wife Gladys of Walhalla, SC; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Ford and Margie Holt both of Chester.
