Chester Mrs. Betty Jackson Connor, 89, died Friday, July 3, 2015, at Piedmont Medical Center.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Paige Wheeler officiating.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Connor was born October 5, 1925 in York County, SC and was a daughter of the late James Lewis Jackson and Estelle Threatt Jackson.She attended the schools of Chester County and retired from Springs Industries.Mrs. Jackson was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son; James E. “Eddie” Connor (Carolyn) of Chester; one daughter, Judy C. McWaters of Chester; and four grandchildren, Jamie Tamblingson, Brandon Connor, Jessica McWaters, and Michelle McWaters.Mrs. Connor was preceded in death by her husband, James Boyd Connor; one daughter, Nancy C. Paulos; one brother, James L. Jackson; one sister, Mildred McCoy; and one great-grandson, Jordan Tamblingson.
