Betty Hunter Brice

Mrs. Betty Hunter Brice died Monday, September 30, 2019.A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2019 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Jason Myers officiating. The family will receive friends at the home (114 Crescent Drive, Chester) immediately following the memorial service. She was born in Clinton, SC on March 15, 1924 and was a daughter of the late John H. Hunter and Net W. Hunter. She graduated Magna Claude from Presbyterian College in 1944 and received a Master’s degree from PSCE in Richmond, VA in 1946. Mrs. Brice served as Director of Religious Education at Purity Presbyterian Church in Chester, SC from 1946-1947 where she was a member and also served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Moderator of Women of the Church, Circle Leader and Bible Teacher.On December 27, 1947 she married Charles William Brice, Jr. She is survived by sons, Charles Brice, III (Alice); John Brice (Suzanne); three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her husband; one son Robert Brice; two brother, John and Herbert.
