Betty Annette Mcgarity Blackwell

Great Falls Mrs. Betty Annette McGarity Blackwell, 56, died Sunday, February 26, 2023 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM, Sunday March 5, 2023 at Second Baptist Church Great Falls with Rev. Tommy Howell officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the family life center of the church. Mrs. Blackwell was born March 28, 1966 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of Joyce Tomberlin McGarity and the late Steve Andrew McGarity. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Blackwell was a member of Second Baptist Church of Great Falls, SC. She is survived by her husband, William Gary Blackwell of Great Falls, SC; her mother, Joyce McGarity Hefner; two children, Angela Renee Blackwell and Jessica Nicole Blackwell both of Chester, SC; one grandson, Elijah Andrew McGarity of Blackstock, SC; one brother, Wayne McGarity (Beth) of Blackstock, SC; her special son, Kenny Ellinger whom she loved as her son of Lancaster, SC; three nephews, Trey McGarity of Rock Hill, SC, Steven and Andrew McGarity both of Blackstock, SC. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steve McGarity, Jr and a grandson, William David Paul Lewis.
