Simpsonville, SC Mrs. Bertha “Midget” Thomason Leopard, 77, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Regency Hospital in Greenville, SC.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 31, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. David Sealy officiating.Interment is private.The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mrs. Leopard was born December 13, 1941 in McConnells, SC and was a daughter of the late Earl L. Thomason and Edith Quillin Thomason.She attended the schools of York and Chester counties and was retired from Waffle House as a cook.She was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church, Piedmont, SC.Bertha enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and being outdoors with nature and the beautiful flowers. She is survived by two sons, Anthony Leopard (Crystal) of Simpsonville, SC and Michael Owens of Williamston, SC; six grandchildren, Eian Leopard of Liberty, SC, Brantley Leopard of Simpsonville, SC, Dakota Leopard of Liberty, SC and Jency Odom, Sadie Odom and Abigail Odom all of Chester, SC; two sisters, Peggy Hutto and Becky Bonner both of McConnells, SC; one brother, Johnny Thomason (Evelyn) of Boiling Springs, SC; and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Leopard was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Leopard; three brothers and three sisters.
