Chester, SC: Benjamin Thomas ?Tommy? Ray, 67, died Friday, July 1, 2001 at Chester Regional Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 3, 2011 at First Church of The Nazarene with Reverend John Porter officiating. The family will receive friends in the church immediately following the service. Mr. Ray was born in Chester, SC on March 13, 1944, a son of the late Benjamin B. Ray and Grace Mobley Ray. He attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries as a supervisor. Mr. Ray is survived by one son, Dale Ray and one daughter Tracy Webb both of Chester, SC; one brother, Charles Ray of Chester, SC and two sisters, Betty Hollifield of Chester, SC and Ruby Wright of Great Falls, SC; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two daughters, Casey Ray Grainger and Terri Ray Greene.
