Bayliss Anthony Adimaro

February 12, 1939 — January 1, 2026

Rev. Bayliss Anthony Adimaro died Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

A Funeral Service will be held at First Free Will Baptist Church, Chester, SC on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Visitation at 2:00 pm with service following at 3:00 pm with Rev. Rex Faile and Rev. Wilson Horton. Burial will be private.

Born February 12, 1939 in New York State he was the only child/son of Edith Hoyt and Anthony (Tony) Adimaro, Bayliss married the love of his life, Linda Louise Adair on June 8, 1957. He followed in his father’ footsteps as a welder by trade until going into full-time ministry. He preached his first message at Bethel Tabernacle, Pontiac, Michigan at the age of 17. Often referred to as “Preacher B”, he pastored two churches, served as interim pastor to several churches and traveled the country for 14 years as an Evangelist. He mentored many young men who went on to pastor their own churches. During his ministry he also served as a youth pastor, visitation pastor, associate pastor, choir director, presbyter with Assemblies of God, and Chaplin to two hospitals. A life well lived with a true servant’s heart and nothing was more important to him than the service of Jesus Christ. He lived what he preached. He also loved to fish, spend time with family, and he was always the life of the party. He never ended a conversation without saying “Love You More” or “More” for short. He was the first to offer up prayer for anyone who was sick or hurting. He loved people and it truly showed. He passed along to all of us hope in Jesus, the attribute of faithfulness, and the lessons of respect for others. He was a man of great character. He loved the simplicity of the gospel and often quoted Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” He has finally heard the words he’s longed to hear, “Well done thy good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

He leaves behind his children John and Rhonda Adimaro, Rayn and Kevin Mohr, and Cheryl Ashley, four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife Linda. Now together forever Bayliss and Linda, sorely missed here, but what bliss over there!
