Barbara Jordan Greenwood

CHESTER?Barbara Jordan Greenwood, age 69 of 926 Beechwood Drive, Chester, died Friday, December 26, 2008 at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday at Saluda Street Church of God with Bishops R. G. Funderburk, William B. Moore and Thomas H. Ashley. Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Greenwood was born September 2, 1938 in Chester, a daughter of the late George Gill and Ruth Dereberry Jordan. She was a graduate of Chester High School and a member of Saluda Street Church of God. Survivors include her husband: William L. Greenwood, one son: William D. Greenwood and his wife Rebecca of Chester; a brother, Walter C. Jordan of Chester, two sisters, Hazel J. Norman and Betty J. Rice both of Chester. Three grandchildren, Devyn, Garrett and Dustin Greenwood of Chester and a cousin, William R. Greene, who was raised in the home.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Candace Ruth Greenwood; a sister, Helen J. Roof; and a brother, Robert "Buck" Jordan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM Sunday at Saluda Street Church of God.
