Athleen Dover Dickey

Athleen R. “Beanie” Dover Dickey, 90, of Summerville widow of William L. Dickey, Sr. passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Magnolia’s of Summerville. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 6 to 8 o’clock at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC.The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 2 o’clock at Barron Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Chester. Mrs. Dickey was born April 9, 1922 in York, SC, daughter of the late George Lee Dover, Sr. and Gracie Wray Dover.Mrs. Dickey was first and foremost a homemaker who was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing and enjoyed being around people. Survivors include one son and two daughters; Bill Dickey (Nina) of Myrtle Beach, Sheila Myrick (Don) of Summerville and Debra Simmons (Jack) of Summerville, six grandchildren; Dawn Rowe (Darrell) of Conway, Amy Hagen (widow of Tim Hagen) of Mebane, NC, Dixie Healey (Philip) of Standish, England, Don Myrick (Krystal) of Summerville, Delana Simmons of Orlando, FL and Brandy Simmons of Summerville, eleven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.She was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters
