Asa Lee Satterthwaite

Asa Lee Satterthwaite passed away peacefully in his home May 3, 2026.

Born in Plymouth, NC March 22, 1949 to the late Asa Vance Satterthwaite and Sarah Louise Satterthwaite. He is survived by his son Brian (Delois) Satterthwaite, daughter Anita (Keith) Lyon, grandchildren Austin (Ashlyn) Satterthwaite, Troy (Shianne) Satterthwaite, Kayla (Anthony) Probst, Chad Lyon, Tomesha Lyon, great grandchildren Maliah Propst, Autumn Lyon, sister Sarah Ulloth, and his much loved dogs and cats.

Asa loved God and he loved his church and church family. He was a crane operator until he retired, then helped his son-in-law with landscaping. He also enjoyed being outside, cutting grass, tending to his gold fish pond, and anything else he could find to tinker with.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Michael Lyon and 11 brothers and sisters.

Our family would like to extend how very grateful we are to Gentiva Hospice. They were a Godsend.

Vsitation will be at 11 am Friday May 8 followed by a celebration of life at 12pm at Unity at Calvary Church of God 550 Hollis Lakes Rd Rock Hill, SC.
