BLACKSTOCK, SC Mrs. Anna Margaret Benton Taylor, 80, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Carolinas Specialty Hospital, Charlotte, NC.The funeral will be 2:00 Friday, May 18, 2012at Cornwell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Foster officiating.The family will receive friends anytime at the home 2286 Columbia Road, Blackstock, SC.The interment will be at Cornwell Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Born July 17, 1931 in Sardis, SC, Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late Belton O’Neal Benton and Annie Boyd Benton.She was a graduate of Sardis High School where she was a member of the Allstar Basket Ball Team. She was formerly employed with Chester Telephone and was a homemaker.Mrs. Taylor was the telephone operator for the South Chester Fire Department and was responsible for sounding the alarm in case of an emergency when the department was first established.She was a member of Cornwell Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of over sixty years, John Robert Taylor; three daughters, Jackie T. Foster and husband Tim of Blackstock, SC, Miriam T. Boyd and husband Harden and Janice T. Dahnke and husband Jeff of Blackstock; four grandchildren, Travis Foster and wife Zora, Courtney Boyd, Whitney Boyd and Joshua Dahnke and wife Elizabeth; four great grandchildren, Caddell, Rayna, Brittany, and Jeremiah; two sisters, Kathryn B. Rivers of Chapin, SC and Mary B. Hucks of N. Augusta, SC and one aunt, Carrie Boyd of Blackstock, SC.Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Riser, one brother, Robert Benton and two grandchildren, Ryan Foster and Jason Foster.
