Chester:Ann Bailey Grant 66, of 826 Redwood Lane, died October 1, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital , Greenville, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, October 4, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Chester, with Rev. Clay Waldrep officiating. Interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born in Chester on May 29, 1943, she was the daughter of Massie Bailey Gregory and the late Johnny J. Bailey. She was a graduate of Chester High School and attended York Technical College. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chester, where she was a choir member. Surviving are her husband David Grant, two daughters Cheryl Vance Watson andhusband Maurice of Forest City, NC, Tonya Vance Smith and husband Chris of Simpsonville, SC, her mother Massie Gregory of Chester, four grandchildren Meg and Beth Watson, Katey and Hunter Smith, five sisters Doris Ferrell of Chester, Joyce Carter of Chester, Sandra Doster of Irmo, SC, Mary Henderson of Chester, Francis Gregory of Union, SC. She was preceded in death by a son Barry Timothy Vance . The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00PM Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC, 29706.
