CHESTER:Mrs. Angie Johnson Blanks, 81, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at The Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Chester First Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Waldrip officiating.The interment will be in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Blackstock, SC.The family will receive friends Friday, July 11, 2014from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the vestibule of First Baptist Church. Born December 28, 1932 in Fairfield County, SC, Mrs. Blanks was the daughter of the late William Shelton Johnson and Leatha Brown Johnson.She was a graduate of Blackstock High School and attendedYork Technical College.She was retired from Campus Sportswear and previously worked with Chester County Hospital.Mrs. Blanks was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was an usher.Mrs. Blanks was involved in the Senior Choir and the Senior Club.She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxilary #1654, Disabled American Veterans Auxilary #19, a former member of the Silver Haired Legislature of Chester, Lancaster, York Regions and a former member of the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her first husband Edward Douglas Lewis and second husband Cledith Mann. She is survived by her husband of over fourteen years, Charlton H. Blanks; two daughters, Kathy L. Morris (Randy) of Wedowee, AL and Robin L. Faulkner (Ellis) of Chester, SC; two step-sons, Danny Mann of Lexington, SC and Will Blanks (Lindy) of Chester; one step-daughter, Mary Beth Grumbliss (Dave) of Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
