CHESTER: Mrs. Aloma Welch Jourdan, 79, of 1539 Columbia Road.died Friday April 17, 2009 at Chester Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 19, 2009 at First Church of the Nazarene with Reverend John Porter officiating. Burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. A native of Chester County, Mrs. Jourdan was a daughter of the late William W. Welch and Lillian Yarborough Welch. She attended the schools of Chester County,was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene where she attended the ?Mothers? Sunday School Class. She was the widow of Ernest L. Jourdan. Surviving is one daughter, Renee Bagley and her husband Tommy of Chester, SC, three grandchildren, Kenneth Jones of Lake Wylie, SC, James Karlisle Bagley of Chester, SC and Kyle Ray Bagley of Newport News, VA, five great-grandchildren, Caleb , Autumn, Gage, Tristen and Marlee. one sister, Janice Welch of Chester, SC, two brothers, Dewey Welch of Fresno, CA and Sidney Welch of Chester, SC and one sister-in-law Gladys Welch Winter of Columbia, SC. She was the widow of Ernest L. Jourdan The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Sunday evening at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC 29706.
