Alice Henson Wallace

Chester, SC: Alice Mae Henson Wallace, 91, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Greene and Reverend Roger Roof officiating. The family will receive friends at Barron Funeral Home Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Wallace was born in Richburg, SC on December 30, 1921. She was a daughter of the late William Leard Henson and Martha Mattie Garrison Henson. Mrs. Wallace attended the schools of Richburg, SC, was retired from Springs Industries , was a member of Orrs Baptist Church and attended First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Hedgepath and her husband John of Chester, SC; two sons, David M. Wallace and his wife Diane and Heyward L. Wallace and his wife Shelia all of Blackstock, SC; a sister, Della Rexrode and her husband George of Chapin, SC; a brother, Lindsey Henson of Chester, SC;nephew Bobby Henson and his wife Judy of Valdese, NC; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband Lewis H. Wallace and a son Daniel M. Wallace.
