Alice Cornwell Timme

CHESTER: Alice Cornwell Timme, 85, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Chester Regional Nursing Center.A graveside service for Mrs. Timme will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 17, 2010in Evergreen Cemetery with Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating. Mrs. Timme, wife of Charles E. Timme, was born in Chester SC , September 14, 1924 a daughter of the late Inez Graves and Tom Douglas Cornwell. A graduate of Chester High School, she was an Air Force wife for over 25 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Chester. She was a devoted and loyal wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her husband, Charlie, she is survived by her granddaughter, Mobley Hope of Atlanta, GAand her sister and brother-in-law Jane C. and James R. Hearn of Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jack Timme, in 2006. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 102 Church Street, Chester, SC 29706.
