SEVERNA PARK, MARYLAND- Mrs. Alice Wix McWatters, 88, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in Future Care at Chesapeake in Arnold, Maryland. A graveside service will be held 2:00 Monday, December 28th at Chester Memorial Gardens in Chester, SC with Reverend Steve Bishop officiating. Born July 1, 1921 in Union County, South Carolina, Mrs. McWatters was a daughter of the late John Varde Wix and Alice Teresa Levister Wix.She was a graduate of Union County schools and a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is survived by one daughter Emma McWatters Hofford and her husband Robert and one grandson Jeffery Scott Brown all of Severna Park, Maryland.She was the widow of Clarence Walker McWatters.
