Albert Jerry Bright

Albert Jerry Bright, 79, died Sunday, August 2, 2026, at CMC Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 6, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.  Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery, Lowrys, SC.  The family will receive friends after the burial at the graveside.

Jerry was born May 21, 1947 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Albert Hammond Bright and Minnie Jane Stroud Bright.  He was a graduate of the Chester County school system through the GED program and was retired from Caraustar of Rock Hill, SC.  Jerry was a devoted husband and father who loved his family.  His family heritage was important to him.  He enjoyed music and art and painting.  Jerry was a person of strong faith.

He is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Martha Wages Bright; one daughter, Laura Bright-Trout (Bradley) of Rock Hill, SC; three brothers, J.T. Bright of Jacksonville, FL, Will Bright of Chester, SC and Alfred Bright (Doris) of Chester, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Mechelle "Mickie" Bright and a brother, Jessie Bright.
