Alan Leroy Roquet

Alan Leroy Roquet, 83, died Thursday, August 29, 2024, at NHC Healthcare Parklane in Columbia, SC. No services will be held at this time. He was born July 9, 1941 in Waterloo, Iowa and was a son of the late Robert Lee Roquet and Helene Marie Lenius Roquet. Al was a graduate of Maynard High School in Maynard, Iowa. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Machinist Mate 1st Class having served during the Vietnam era. Al was also a Seabee. He was a master cabinet maker and was owner of Custom Woodcraft in Carmel, CA. Al also worked with several commercial airlines and held a private pilot’s license. He is survived by a sister, Arla Roquet Carter (Jim) of Chester, SC and a brother, Gary Lynn Roquet (Tuty) of Corona, CA. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his first and second wives, Maxine Lilliefield Roquet and Marlene Marcie Wilcox Roquet. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
