Chester Mrs. Adeline Carter Faust, 81, went to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, November 13, 2014.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Eric Shepard and Rev. David Sealy officiating.Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, Novermber15, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Born in Chester, SC on October 10, 1933, Mrs. Faust was a daughter of the late John Joe and Mattie Carter and the widow of Julian Grant Faust.She grew up in the Baton Rouge section of Chester County on a farm with her three brothers, Billy Joe, Earl and O’Neil Carter and a cousin, Lillian Casebolt.After graduation from Chester Senior High School in 1951, she married the love of her life, Julian.They had three daughters, Karen, Terri, and Lisa.She was a loving grandmother to Lauren, Chelsea and Jessi. She was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church for many years participating in the Bernadine Patterson Circle, Pete Wylie Sunday School Class, and an avid member of the Bethel choir.She was also active in the community participating in the Floral Land Garden Club, Chester Chapter #15 OES and Shriners Auxiliary Club.Adeline worked as a district cafeteria manager with Chester County Schools for 20 years.A talented artist, she enjoyed painting, crafts and gardening.She cherished her cats, Blackie, Dooley, Bandit and Honey.Adeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all.She will be greatly missed. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Faust Stevens (Ricky) and Lisa Faust Isenberg (Perry) both of Chester; three granddaughters, Brittany Lauren Faust and Chelsea Ann Isenberg both of Chester and Jessi Isenberg Roth (Herman) of Virginia; two brothers, Billy Joe Carter (Barbara) and Earl Carter (Linda); and her sister-in-law, Joyce Carter all of Chester.She is also survived by her husband’s family, Glenn, Charles, Bob, and Genevieve Faust and Frances Lee.Mrs. Faust was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Grant Faust; a daughter, Teresa Lynne Faust; a brother, Neil Carter; and a cousin, Lillian Casebolt, who was raised with her as a sister.
