CHESTER: Mr. William Lee Jourdan, 90, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Chester Regional Nursing Center.A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Bryson Williams officiating.The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 PM Monday, February 24, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Irene McKeown, 108 Pine Street, Chester, SC. Born September 9, 1923 in Chester, SC, Mr. Jourdan was a son of the late William W. and Carrie Lee Doster Jourdan.He was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Springs Industries and former co-owner of Jourdan’s Hunting & Fishing Supply.He was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church, Sandy River Masonic Lodge #207 and Hejaz Shrine Temple.He was avid cattle farmer and a member of the Cattleman’s Association.He was preceded in death by his wife Rosalie Dove Jourdan, having been married over sixty-five years and a brother Ernest Jourdan. He is survived by one brother, Eugene Jourdan and his wife Jean of Summerville, SC; three sisters, Lucille Hope, Dorothy Gheen and Irene McKeown all of Chester; one special nephew, Joe Dove and his wife Gloria of Chester and numerous nieces and nephews.
