Chester Mrs. Thelma Jane Preston Parris, 89, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at Chester Regional Nursing Center.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Chester Freedom Ministries with Pastor Steve Bishop and Pastor Kevin Taylor officiating.Interment will be in Armes Chapel Church cemetery in Wartburg, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 25, at Chester Freedom Ministries, 729 Village Dr., Chester. SC. Mrs. Parris was born June 6, 1925 in Milo, Kentucky and was a daughter of the late Wallace Preston and Leaner Robinson Preston.She attended the schools of Martin County, Kentucky and was a homemaker.Mrs. Parris was a member of Chester Freedom Ministries. She is survived by one daughter, Shelia Parris Bishop (Steve) of Chester; one son, John D. Parris of Ohio; one sister, Tina Mae Kirk of Inez, Ky.; one brother, Dennis Preston of Inez, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.Mrs. Parris was preceded in death by her husband, James K.
