Mrs. Flora Wade Cochran

Chester Mrs. Flora Wade Cochran, 97, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 3, 2015, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jim McClure officiating. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Mr. Cochran was born June 20, 1918 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late Willie Wade and Belle Waters Wade. She was a graduate of Chester High School and worked with her husband at the Chevrolet dealership in Chester for many years. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She is survived by nieces, Louise Williams, Jean Hyder and Mabel Kilpatrick who cared for her; a number of other nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Maria Worthy, Jessica Crockett and Clairssia Simpson. Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her husband, J.A. Cochran. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of SC, 173 Columbia St., Chester, SC 29706.
