The Herald Chester News & Reporter Richburg, SC Mrs. Ernestine “Tina” Bedenbaugh Holmes, 48, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Reformation Lutheran Church in Lancaster, SC with Rev. Guy Shealy officiating.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Barron Funeral Home.The interment will be at Union A.R.P. Church Cemetery in Richburg, SC. Born October 16, 1965 in Rock Hill, SC, Tina was the daughter of Ernestine Livingston Bedenbaugh and the late Harold O. Bedenbaugh.She was a graduate of Chester High School and Winthrop College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree from the The University of South Carolina.Tina was a teacher with the Chester County School District having served as a first grade teacher for twenty-five years and served as a Netscope Mentor Teacher.In2000-2001, Tina was named Teacher of the Year.She was member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a society for educators.Tina loved her first graders and they loved her in return.In May her fellow teachers put together a Relay for Life team in her honor, naming the team Tina’s Troops. Tina was a life-long Lutheran and a member of Reformation Lutheran Church Lancaster, SC where she was a past Sunday School and Bible School Teacher. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of over twenty-six years Dale; three sons, Matthew, Andrew and Joshua and his wife Connie all of Richburg; two brothers, Timothy of Richburg and Russell and his wife Jan a nephew Chase Bedenbaugh and a niece, Caity Bedenbaugh all of Catawba; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many other loved ones.
