William Darrell Greenwood

Mr. William Darrell Greenwood, age 55, died Saturday, October 26th, 2024 in Chester, SC. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church with David Sealy and Michael Black officiating. Visitation for the family will start at 10:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, preceding the memorial service. (760 Calvary Church Road, Chester, SC 29706) Mr. Greenwood was born June 4, 1969 in Greenville, SC and was the son of the late William Larry Greenwood and Barbara Jordan Greenwood. He was a graduate of Chester High School and worked as a Lead Maintenance Technician at Giti Tire in Chester, SC. He took great pride in his work and was often told that he could fix anything. Darrell loved spending time with his family, playing golf, traveling with the GT Radial Drifting Team, working in the garage, and helping his friends in any way he could. He was a passionate Formula Drift fan as well and loved his drifting family. He was a loving father, husband and friend to many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Candice Ruth Greenwood. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Rebecca Kay Greenwood; two sons, William Garrett Greenwood and Dustin Wyatt Greenwood; one daughter, Devyn Michelle Greenwood; and one granddaughter, Alexis Cheyenne Spurlock, of Chester, SC.
