Marilyn Hicks Grant

Mrs. Marilyn Hicks Grant, 88, died July 19, 2018 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehab in Maggie Valley, NC.A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the social hall of the Armenia United Methodist Church. Mrs. Grant was born August 14, 1929 in Chester, South Carolina.She was a graduate of Chester High School and attended Winthrop College. Mrs. Grant was retired from Chester Telephone Company and was a member of Chester First Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Issacs Hicks and her husband Calvin Miller Grant. She is survived by two sons, Kevin Wayne Grantof Waynesville, NC and Calvin Keith Grant (Judy) of Lake Junaluska, NC and one grandson, Jackson Keith Grant of Lake Junaluska, NC.
