CHESTER: Mr. Julius B. ?Shorty? Hope, 88, of 1532 Center Road died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill. The funeral will be 4:00 PM Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church with Reverends Joey Shetley and Dale Roddey officiating. Burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. A native of Chester, SC, Mr Hope attended the schools of Chester County, retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was also a World War II US Army veteran having served at Omaha Beach, Normandy during D- Day. He was a two time Purple Heart and Bronze Star recepient. Surviving is his wife: Margaret Dalton Hope, two daughters, Kim Hope Moore and her husband Jean and Kaye Hope Cornwell and her husband William, both of Chester, SC, four grandchildren, Jonathan Cornwell, Khloe Moore, Eliot Moore, Julia Hope Cornwell all of Chester, SC and one sister, Jessie Mae Williams of Rock Hill, SC.
