Chester Mr. JohnRobert Melton, 71, died Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2015,t at Barron Funeral Home.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC. Mr. Melton was born November 9, 1943 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late John M. Melton and Sadie Lee Gaston Melton.He was a graduate of Chester High School and a member of the South Carolina National Guard.Mr. Melton retired as a produce manager after working at several local grocery stores.
