TOGETHER AGAIN. John Franklin Locke Jr., 85, of the Rodman Community in Chester, SC joined the love of his life, Nancy, in their Heavenly home.He passed over peacefully in his home on Friday, August 28, 2015. A graveside service to celebrate his life, with his nephew Pastor Ronald Thomas officiating, will be held at Union ARP Church in Richburg, SC on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM. There will be no visitation. John was born in Chester on April 26, 1930 to the late John F. Locke, Sr. and Nancy Thomas Locke. John was a Cpl in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged on October 3, 1949.He retired from Celriver in the mid 1980's. After becoming childhood best friends with Nancy's brother, Floyd, she and John wereinseparable.They shared a lifetime of happiness working, traveling, and dancing together.They were married for 66 years before she passed on, as he told his daughter Cathy, "to pick out that perfect fishing place for when he joined her." John is survived by their three children, Diane Agustsson of NY, Catherine Robb of Rodman, SC, and John F. Locke, III (Debbie) of NY; five grand children, Barbara Locke, Jennifer Taylor (Wayne), John F Locke IV, Chris Dover (Samantha), Chrissy Locke and four great-grandchildren, Claire and Dillinger Taylor and Xander and Malachi Dover;One brother, Gerald T. Locke (Carolyn). It was John's request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice 154 Amendment Ave #5, Rock Hill, SC 29732, in his memory.
