The oldest of five brothers, he was proceeded in death by brothers Connie Feaster and James Guy Feaster, daughter Johnnie Feaster Copeland, and granddaughter Kristie Copeland Deas. He was a member of First Baptist Church Lowrys, SC, and loved his church, where he served in the deacon, brotherhood, men’s Sunday school, and usher ministries. He was employed with Springs Industries for more than 40 years as a cloth-room supervisor during which time he not only managed but influenced the lives of those who worked for him. He was particularly proud of the many “school kids” that worked for him while in high school and college. He also was as a long-time board member for the Senior Services of Chester County, a member of the Sandy River Masonic Lodge #207, and a member of the Ruritan Club Lowrys, SC. A few decades ago, along with others from his church, he volunteered at the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. That experience had a significant impact on him, and he continued to financially support that ministry throughout the remainder of his life. He also went on two mission trips to Mexico, which influenced his thinking and perspective on peoples from third-world countries. More than all of his professional and personal accomplishments, he was an amazing patriarch of his family. He loved his family deeply and always tried to guide, influence, and instill the lessons and values that he had learned throughout his life. He was a great storyteller, and his wisdom, perspective, and experiences will continue to impact the lives of his family and will be shared by those he influenced and loved.
